PS3 smokes X360 - Blu-ray Forum

I have had both PS3 and X360 consoles for a long time now but to be honest I used the PS3 mostly as a BD player. I fell into the notion that people have that the PS3 is just a BD plaer and a game machine is it's second function. NOT TRUE.

After recently buying Uncharted the way I view this machine is TOTALLY different now. I mean wow, what a game. I had thought that the machine maybe was a little less powerful graphically when compared to the 360 but this game puts that all to rest. Everything about Uncharted is deadly.

So anyways I now see that the PS3 is a game machine first that just so happens to be built with BD inside that also makes it a movie machine.

I can't wait for so many games coming out this year and next. PS3 for the future.

By the way I sold the 360 a few days back.

is it worth to play multiplet times and is there online play too?

You mirrored my experience. I started with a 360 but wanted a PS3 for the upcoming (at that time) Heavenly Sword and the inevitable God of War 3. Once I had one, and reveled in the glory that is Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, I could no longer stand my 360. While I prefer that controller, I could not stand the excessive noise from the Xbox while my PS3 runs whisper quiet. And with the Sword of Damocles hanging over my console in the form of the dreaded RROD, I traded it in and never looked back. And now the one game I miss (Mass Effect) is coming to the PC anyway, so I'm perfectly happy.

Having Blu-ray incorporated into my console is just like putting the icing on a pile of icing. Too damned sweet!

I never owned any Xbox systems before because i always preferred the Playstation over Xbox

Yea, I haven't been happy with 360 since 2 of them died & the final is fading away. I could just go back to BB & get my replacement, again, but it frustrating to deal with & why bother. I don't understand why xbox can't just fix the problem. I better stop myself now before I rant about crapbox

I would rather have a reliable system like playstation. I'm looking forward to receiving my ps3. Someday this week, I hope.

keep hanging on with the xbox 360,its costing them money and only us time...

there problem..not our's..mine died also and im waiting on it for repairs..

i dont care how many times i have to sent it in,they'll get the picture to make a full product like the sony ps3...then xbox making us deal with problems.

If you bought a 360, you should definitely get it repaired, as many times as it breaks. Don't throw your money away! Besides, MS deserves to be brought to terms for their shoddy products. Honestly, it is a testament to the terrible state that is the US today that MS can keep releasing extremely awful products(Vista is 100% trash as well), and apparently not feel any adverse affects because of it. People need to wake up, and stop doing business with a company that is simply too greedy to do things properly.

Nice story, anyway. Uncharted doesn't get enough press because it's a PS3 exclusive, but, it is one of the best games I have ever played, and one of two games that I ever played, beat, and immediately started to play again. Rarely do I replay games, but Uncharted was such fun that I didn't mind at all.

not cod4 .... I like im both and as much as I feel there isnt a need for over the top fanboyism... both have their perks and weak spots

I will say that after exchanging a defective cod4 and getting the update I have been enjoying cod4 on the ps3 more than the 360 other than resistance when the ps3 came out this is the first game i've really used...

Heavenly sword and Ratchet and clank are far superior than what the X360can do, Enchanted arms, COD4, DMC4, Marvel ultimate alliance are better to much better ports

maybe its because it makes one hell of a blu-ray player but got to remember its a game console not just a blu-ray player even though ps3 games are blu-ray disks so its almost like saying it is a blu-ray player but it can still play ps games
