I pretty sure that story is wrong.

I believe it was closer to 1 billion.

They should try looking in the kitchen junk drawer. You never know what turns up there.

No its not a billion. But they could have won if they spent that billion on lets say 3 studios and convinced Warner to stay. Dang my PS3 would be obsolete.

$665M for fiscal 2007, ~$1B in losses due to HD DVD in toto.

That is about $110,800 per HD DVD unit sold in the USA. Which was about 600,000. Complete and utter waste of money. Shameful.
