Also, It was recently announced in an interview that they intend to release a Blu-ray version by halloween.

You have to be kidding me? Although, a similar movie has been made before, I just love the thought of this movie coming out on Blu-Ray. If it weren't for Rue Morgue magazine, I would've never known about it.

wow no posts since 2008 on this topic! i guess the plans for a bluray are dead, huh? can anyone please take the time to confirm whether it is or if it was released and is no longer available? if someone could it would make my day!

It was never released on Blu.

thanks man for confirming. forgot to mention in my OP as the last question in it but would you happen to know if theres any new word on it since? im assuming no since its been quite been a while and im sure plans are probably dead now which would be a total downer....

No new word. It was a low budget independent release. At that time in 2008, they couldn't afford a Blu release. They might be able to do it today though, especially if they licensed it to a bigger studio that would be interested.
