The slim has faster load times. I don't think you can get the old version in stores anymore.

The new (Slim or 2000) also works with Skype for voice calls over WiFi with an optional headset.

there is no hard drive in psp, you have to buy Memory Stick Pro Duo and depend on whether you are getting modded set or not, where modded psp download the game from internet illegally and put in the memory stick, else you buy umd disc games. memory stick come in many size up to 8gb for now.

Dont get a PSP they are the most overrated nonthing. Everyone that has one never plays the darn thing like me. There are no stellar fun games. And the point being spend the 200 on some blu rays etc.

the Slim has extra RAM for faster load times and for SKYPE. It also has video output capability for playing PSP games or movies on a TV.
I bought mine at the beginning of the month and I can easily recommend it. S far ive played God of War and Syphon Filter: Logans shadow, both very fun. Im getting Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops in the mail, buying FF7: Crisis Core this week and have Daxter unopened too. Ive got another 3-6 games I can think that I want to buy, but ive got to slow down atleast a bit hehe. Im really looking forward to the "portable copy" comming on future BDs. Not only to watch them on the PSP on the road, but you can also hook it up to a TV and get DVD quality video. The skype and internet radio are cool but I havent tried them yet. THe other big aspect I use is the PS3 related stuff. Downloading stuff from the PS store onto my PS3 then PSP is great. Remote play of PS1 games is great too. |

I've had mine for over two years and I use it all the time. I use it for music and games and movies. Especially love using when I'm travelling - either for something to do in the hotel room or when I'm up in the air flying to wherever. I did finally have to get a replacement battery after two years.
