Default v2.20 (latest) causing me streaming issues!

Ever since I updated to V2.20 tonight I can not stream SD video very well. It often plays with random cutouts/chops. I can barely FF without massive slow downs and afterwards serious chopping. This was never an issue before 2.20. I literally use my PS3 to stream video every day for months with no issues. Without this feature my PS3 is half a brick..

So far I have tried everything possible to troubleshoot this:

1) It does this on both my Mac using Medialink and my PC using Tversity
2) It does this using both internal and external drives
3) I reset my Dlink router
4) I tried wireless as well with even worse results
5) My PS3 is set to static IP and setup properly with my router but even with auto settings and a router reset it still has this problem
6) My 360 streams the same Mp4 h.264 at lightning speed. Yes, the exact same file streams from Tversity with zero slowdowns. Xbox controller has a button that skips ahead about 10 minutes. I can use this button and the video instantly starts playing ahead in time. The fast forward works normal and playback is snappy after FF.

So.. is anyone else having playback issues with the latest update? The higher the bitrate video the more severe the problem is. I can use my 360 to stream for now but would like to find out if I should reformat my PS3 or if this is a known issue. My old flash stick died so I will have to order a new one. I am hoping my PS3 is not malfunctioning.. it plays videos off the internal drive just fine and works otherwise so far since the update so it doesn't sound like a hardware issue.

you could always do a system restore, stream something and see if it works,
then do the update again, and make sure it works again...

Well a system restore wipes out everything correct? I would try that but like I said I dont have a flash drive to backup my information to (it died a few weeks ago). Both of my external drives are Mac formatted as well. If this is a known issue or if others could replicate it would be nice to know if this is a bug before buying a flash drive and going through the process.

Hmm I have not had any issues with streaming Movies or Music. Since the update. I have the 60gig which version do you guys have? Just a suggestion have you try rebooting the computers you are streaming on after the update?

I haven't downloaded the update yet, but I just setup my PS3 to stream music last weekend! I thought it was pretty cool so I hope this doesn't mess up the streaming capabilities for me.

Super Mecha, what program are you using to stream? Maybe the problem is with Tversity?
