Default inside a blu ray player

alright i know that inside a toshiba hd dvd players it has a p4 at 2.5 ghz 1 gig of ram and a pc hd dvd drive usb port serialports and more just secrh on youtube

but what about a bluray player drive is it just a pc like toshibas or i s a blu ray play i peace of hard ware that u can`t replace the ram with or upgrade its cpu or add a hard drive?

Unsure about the Samasung, but the Panasonic looks very similar to a conventional DVD drive. I would expect that the new Toshiba players will look somewhat similar to a normal DVD player as well.

sorry i dient make the question clear are blue ray player made like the 15$ dvd player in my bedroom?

or ar ethey like hd dvd players witch can be up graded with a hard drive more ram or even a faster p4?

umm, the player really can't be upgraded.

you could try, but you most likely will be met with failure.

The current Panasonic is like your $15 DVD player - only with "special" (read expensive) IC's - the outside of the IC's look like any other DVD players IC's (inside much smarter). The inside does not resemble a computer as in the first Toshiba's. I'm unsure of the other brands but I assume will be similar to the Panasonic. There some recorders available in Japan with HDD etc (I would assume with maybe a firmware upgrade) you maybe able to put a bigger HDD in it. However BEWARE of upgrading firmware, Blu Ray has some pretty nasty weapons against such activities (if they wish to enforce them)

(in the mans blog about his player he open up the i360 or whet evre programing and it had option reagrding encryption and video out put all taht good stuff do you think its possiable that some one right know has wrighten softwear for the machine that lets you copy teh content?
