I love it. Lots of people hate it. It's a pretty polarizing movie.

Very hard to say if you're going to like it or not.

Tough call . . . it's one of those love it or hate it movies. I love it . . . it's a slow moving, but not boring by any means, character driven film, so if you like Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson and you're not looking for an action-oriented superhero film, I think you'll probably like it.

Actually, for me, it's one of those movies that I have on SD and really didn't like it quite well enough to buy it again in Blu. Those are a rarity. It was a blind buy on SD. It has a number of good qualities to it, but not enough for me to buy it again.

If you're into comic books, then yes, it's worth buying, but a lot of people don't like it.

It would have been a better movie if all the extra clips were added into the movie. The bench press scene is funny

Can't you rent it first? ... Maybe not since you mention having to import it but that would be a good solution.

I liked it. From what I've read 80% of people or more hate it completely.

I will likely re-buy it on Blu. (Though I don't think I can sell back my DVD because I picked it up without cover art from a rental store.)

What are these responses? I like it but most people don't? I'd rent it first? It's not for everyone in so far as there are people whose tastes are just awful. The question is whether it's a good movie or not. Let me offer a simple, direct response.

It's a great movie! The comic book backdrop is more a plot device that profoundly impacts the story's progression, not that the plot itself is a derivative juvenile comic book fantasy the likes of Spiderman, X-men, or Fantastic 4. Unbreakable is above all a fine suspense thriller, its drama far more believable than that of any comic book adaptation.

I thought the movie was great. I haven't read anything about the BD release, but the DVD had TONS of extras. If the BD includes the same stuff the DVD did, I'd buy it. If not, they may be holding back for a "special edition" release later on down the road. So you would be better of renting now, maybe buying later.

There's a bench press scene in David's house, but there's another one (deleted) where he uses the weight room at the stadium while he's on duty.

If you like M. Night Shylaman's movies you will prolly like this too. Willis and Jackson both give good performances, but its up to you to decide if you like the plot enough to spend da monee.
