Default Case for PSP SLIM?

I picked up the Sony Traveler case, but did not open it yet. From everything I read today, it does not work well for the PSP Slim. What cases are you other PSP Slim owners using?

Or...anyone found any decent screen film protectors? I know of a couple for DSLRs, but most are precut to 3" or smaller.

Well, I snagged a decent case that I am happy with, but the screen protector sheets I saw just looked like thin sticky plastic. Not real impressive.

Fun sidenote, you prolly won't find a case that'll work if you buy the big-battery, since that battery [despite having a 2000 compat sticker on it :P] is still the big block for the first model. It has a cover but the battery side will always be thicker than the not-battery side.

There is a cheap generic one that I use that works fine, it's non-adhesive too. I paid less than 6 dollars for it.

According to Amazon.com, Sony is releasing an updated Traveler Case for the PSP-2000 on April 15then. I'd suggest returning it and picking up this new version.

EDIT: Never mind, someone beat me to saying this...

I've already pre-ordered this item so if people want I'll let them know how the PSP slim fits in this new Official case with the extended battery pak installed. Also, I don't buy third-party items. With cheap prices comes cheap quality. Atleast that's always been my experience with them as they always break/wear-out within a few short months.

Default Case

I actually got this case from Deal Extreme for $6.83 when the PSP Slim first came out and there were no American cases yet. Good case but a little warped.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6838

I also found a similar one at Circuit City that looks better constructed for $9.99

Just thought I'd let you guys know that Amazon has pushed the release date back on the Official Sony PSP 2000 Travel Case to May 25th. I'm guessing the first date was an estimate that Amazon came up with until Sony made the official release date. Oh well... I don't do much traveling so I don't care but I'll still let you all know what I think of it once I get it in.

Does that Circuit City one cover the screen too? I am not looking for anything other than some scratch protection for a slim.

I wish they would release the official soft pouch + wrist strap for the 2000. I allways used it on my old psp, but am missing it on my new one.

I use a Hip Gear pouch. It as enough room for the PSP and a DS.

I have to say that I have never understood how Sony drops the ball so hard on accessories.

All of these extended batteries (and respective colored compartment covers for said batteries) and cases should have been available the same day the PSPSlim was released. There really is no excuse for it not to be. I'm sure the amount of lost business to Sony on the sale of these things is staggering considering the killing third parties have been making off people trying to fill the accessory gap on their PSPSlims.

This official soft case and wrist strap is what I have right now for the PSP Slim. Works just fine.
