Greetings, I received it yesterday for review. MPEG-2 single layer BD-25.... I previewed it. Don't expect much form the video presentation. The DTS HD MA lossless isn't bad. Regards, |

I'm guessing, like many other Fox and MGM titles, this falls into the "we were going to release it much earlier, but it got delayed and we didn't use that delay to make it any better" category. I may still rent this, as it's been a while since I've seen it, but there is no way I'm buying a BD-25 Mpeg-2 no extra blu. Disney and Warner have much better stuff being released that can have my money. |

Well unless there is a reason to upgrade I will have to pass on this title. Its too bad because I really wanted this. Come on Fox, high bit rate AVC encode please.

Thats exactly what I'm saying, it has to look better than the dvd, and I don't mean marginally.

And if this BD was loaded with extras, you would still have the "choice" not to view any of them. Whereas I would have the "choice" to view them. Everybody would win in such a scenario. But alas, it's not provided by Fox.

It cost less than Star Wars (which was mid-low budget for its time) 10 years later ($15 milllion for Predator vs $17 for SW) Just like Robocop, it's unlikely to ever show any signifigant improvement beyond this |
