No sound through hdmi from pc to tv

I can play a blu ray movie on my pc and I have sound, but when I try to output to tv through an hdmi cable there is no sound coming out of my tv. I have sound with regular movies, just not with blu ray. I have a setting in sounds under control panel that allows me to change my audio output to hdmi. It works with my computer sounds, music, and other videos. The sound will come through my tv only, but when I play a blu ray movie the sound starts to come through my pc speakers, even though I disabled audio through the pc! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
