If you plan on using the online capabilities of Blu-ray, either wait or get a PS3. If that doesn't matter to you, buy now.

If you're looking for a good and trustworthy blu-ray player/PS3, check mine out on ebay.

Definitely go with the PS3. Along with the HDMI 1.3 and lossless audio capabilities, it is VERY easy to update the system itself.

Get the Ps3 and the remote to boot. You won't regret it. You're not only buying a blu-ray player, you're getting a media center and excellent gaming system (even if you don't play games).

If you don't care about BD Live get the Panasonic DMP-BD30

Or if you want 2.0 and onboard sound processing, then wait until next month when the Panasonic DMP-BD50 comes out

Either get a PS3 or wait until the Panasonic BD50 comes out this summer. If you're really interested in DTS HDMA decoding or TrueHD/DTS HDMA bitstreaming as well as 2.0, the Panasonic will have it all.

Thumbs up for the PS3. It is the best value for money and capable of delivering a stunning picture. Some audio limitations (e.g. DTS-MAHD) but it is expected to get a firmware upgrade to fix this to satisfy most people.
