Default Blu Reader for PC usefulness?

I'm sprucing up my computers around the house with HD wipes, cleans, and upgrades.** I just saw a blu reader on newegg for about $130. I have blu players in the living room and bedroom, so I don't need it for movies. I don't need a burner because the discs are too expensive now and I have external HDs for that anyway.

How long do you think it'll be until software companies start releasing blu software discs and retail stores begin carrying them?

**Who knew my macbook would be so easy to upgrade RAM on? Apple charges $1200-$2000 for $500-$1000 worth of parts with every computer, so I figured they'd make upgrading impossible to force the consumer to buy upgraded models. Instead, it was taking out the battery, removing a panel, and sticking the RAM in. Never been easier on a laptop!!!

Edit: Whoops, thought I was in the PC forum. Can someone move this please? Thanks!
