Default Jumper Blu-ray Release

Quote:
Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring 'Jumper' to Blu-ray on June 10th, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1080p AVC and be accompanied by a 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio soundtrack. Presented on a BD-50, the release will contain all the extras from the DVD release.
From the director of The Bourne Identity and Mr. & Mrs. Smith comes the evolution of extreme — a high-powered shot of adrenaline that stretches the very limits of imagination. David Rice (Hayden Christensen) is a young man who knows no boundaries — a Jumper, born with the uncanny ability to teleport instantly to any place on Earth. When he discovers others like himself, David is thrust into the midst of an ancient war while being hunted by a bloodthirsty band of zealots sworn to destroy all Jumpers. Now, David's extraordinary gift may be his only hope for survival.

It's not bad. It's a fun movie that's not really god or bad. I'll pick it up.

I'm just glad they're making a sequel because that ending just kind of stopped abruptly, leaving characters in mid-turmoil and most anything established during the movie unresolved.

From the previews it just always looked like a concept that would wear thin after a while. Best chance is a rental from me.

Some of the greatest movies ever made bombed at the box office. I would never base a decision to buy a movie based on how well it did at the BO.

BTW I am not saying this is good one way or the other as I haven't seen it.

Yeah if we are going by box office we should all go and buy Norbit this second.

Pretty sure it did alright in theatres. And yes, the previews did make it look exciting. Unfortunately though, it wasn't exciting. The parts in the previews were about all there was to this movie.

Definitely not worth the usual $27.95 Fox price tag. I'll probably be buying it if it's ever part of a BOGO or another decent sale.

It's sad really, because this movie could have been awesome

Well my wife and I saw it at the theater and while not great it was still entertaining. I see repeat viewing so will jump at the chance to pick it up.

I went to see it, but was not impressed. I wound up disliking the protagonist in the film which is never a good thing. He did not seem to have a lot of redeaming qualifies. In most movies of this type there is a moment where the main character decides he needs to use his powers to help, but not in this movie. He basically just wants to use his powers to do whatever he wants and nobody better try to stop him.

I found myself rooting for the "bad guys" to win.

Ugh...this movie was a disaster....I've only ever walked out of maybe 5 movies in my life...this was one of them. And what the hell is up with Samuel L. Jackson's recent picks of movies he's done? I mean...seems a little desperate (Snakes on a plane was so bad, it was almost comical)

Not always, but sometimes it's kind of fun to root for the bad guys.
