Default POTC question

I was looking on amazon and one of the reviews said the POTC curse of the black pearl had something wrong with it where it cut the heads off of the actors and disney was letting anyone with the problem get a newer version.

if i buy it off amazon is it still the bad version or is it safe to buy now.
I havent got the potc trilogy on blu ray yet and was just curious if anyone else had the problem before i buy. From the reviews these are must have blu rays.

i dunnno, i guess i don't lol i just bought it pretty early, and seeing how people described it in the forums, it assumed mine was too. they always said it was only a few seconds and barely noticeable, which to me, is pretty insignificant

There is a framing error present for a minutes in the first POTC. It wasn't noticed until months after it came out, and its minimal at worst, but Disney have a replacement program in place for it. Here's some info about it from the main page: https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=759

There's also a thread about it over at avsforums.com that shows comparison pics. The scene where Will and Jack fight in the blacksmith shop is what to watch out for. There's a lot of framing issues there.

I'll say that it was one of the first BD's I got (back during TRU's BOGO) and it was fine. That was 3 months ago. More than likely you're fine if you want to order it.
