Question List of Blu's you would pick PQ,SQ over Storyline?

I catch myself watching and enjoying some (bad) Blu-Rays, do to PQ and SQ! For me I like almost everything in 1080p. Can someone tell me what I'm missing, because of (BAD) storyline but Great PQ and SQ? THANKS

I would rather watch a great movie on a B&W NTSC set than a bad movie in 1080p on Blu-ray.

Of course, I would rather watch the great movie on Blu-ray.

I felt this way initially, now I'm getting much pickier....the movie's gotta be at least a 'B' movie for me to consider it, even if PQ and AQ are superb....

Now, my defiinition of 'B' movie is quite loose, so........

Before I would watch a movie just for the actor's or story. Now I catch myself checking out the Mountain Range,City Scenes,Jungles alot more. Maybe this is away for me to justify myself for buying crap!

So far, of the 150+ Blu-rays I own, the #1 movie that I enjoy strictly because of PQ & AQ is...

Primeval

Good Lord!!! What a brutal piece of storytelling and lacklustre entertainment that is one of the best looking and sounding Blu-rays on the market! In my review (http://www.eyecravedvd.com/dvd/dvdReview.php?dvdID=1174) you can see what I mean.

Cool

Ghost Rider is my guilty pleasure. It's not a totally horrible film, but it isn't really that good either. But the PQ is top notch.

Firstly consider the quality of the movie, i.e. the story line, actors/acting, camera and overall watchability of the movie. Normally I would have some understanding of a movie before I watch it. This could be through reviews and/or word of mouth. Of course PQ/AQ is very important, however, I would watch, if the quality is reasonably good. If I know that I could find a version with better PQ/AQ, I would wait for that better version.
