ps3 transfer

i was interested in buying another ps3 and selling my old one but is there a way to transfer everything i've downloaded and transfer it to a different ps3? any help would be appreciated.

In the settings menu there is a back up utility. this will create a back up file that you can use with the new PS3. It will back up everything but the games purchased on the PSN Store. those you will need to go to the PSN store and redownload. It will be free to redownload them as long as you use the same PSN ID.
