Default Stand by: New Samsung G2 player at $500 MSRP?

Not confirmed by Samsung, but the Korea Times is saying the new second generation player will MSRP at $500.

Now, that will get some attention at CES if true.

If it has better features than the A2 then it will definitely be worth looking at, even if it is the same as the G1 BD player, but with no f/w issues and advanced audio, with BD Video 1.1 compliance I would definitely buy it.

MSRP on the new Samsung player is $799, but as soon as it nears $500, which it will, after it has been out for a few months, you can add another nail in the HD-DVD coffin. I get customers everyday that tell me that $500 is the magical pricepoint at which they would have no problem buying a BD player.
