Default Speakers under 1000 About What Should i get in your opinion?

Ok ive been thinking if i could get some really good speakers for under 1000. I have seen BIC Acoustech but dont know how good it is. Flaunce which is good but cheap. Polk which i think i can get on ebay for cheaper.

This is the room and you need to see it as the size ratio for the speakers. Thanks guys. I will get a Onkyo 705 or 805 soon too.

in other word, you'd need some type of book shelf speaker that would fit in the entertainment unit. Under 1k, your best bet is to go with klipsch.

Bic subwoofer should do fine for that room, but i think you'd want more of a down firing rather than front firing

Center channel this $94 one should do the trick 100 watts
http://www.buy.com/prod/klipsch-syne...203305578.html

surround speaker, these ss-1 are amazing! 100 watts you will need 4 of these ($400)

http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-SS-1-S...881134&sr=8-20

left and right channel, these are 100 watts also for $260 a pair.

http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Synerg...881395&sr=1-14

that would be $760 well spent. the rest should be enough for a 10" klipsh sub $200

http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Synerg...7881830&sr=1-1

that should leave you a good $60 buck to spend on shipping

=) i'm a damn good shopper if u ask me

and to be honest, i don't think you'd need 7.1 set up in that space because of that wall going up behind your sitting area. i think 5.1 would be enough, those ss-1 are quite powerful. You could spend the extra 200 on the sub.

but then again, if you are going to buy a 7.1 receiver like you said then by all mean, go for 7.1.

just remember, try to get all the speaker at the same brand and better if they are all at the same rms wattages. (in your case 100 watts)

When i buy set up i usually pay focus in these order : center channel because most of your sound come from it. then it would be subwoofer, and then surround and last it would be left and right channel.

i would jump on that center channel real quick, those are usually go for over 200 buck. It's $259 here in my area B&W store.

Klipsch price is consumer friendly i would say. i like how the crisp strong sound, if you look for a more warmer sound, look into polk brand.

Looking at your room, I'm actually suggest going 5.1 rather than 7.1- it'll sound better than a forced 7.1 setup and save some money allowing you to get better speakers.

As far as speakers, well... it's tough to make a suggestion without knowing how much shelf space there is to place with and whether or not you can make room for tower fronts.

In addition to what others have suggested, check out Elemental Designs- using their package builder you can save a lot of money on great speakers, and their subs are very nice.

If you are going for an Onkyo 705 or 805, you should be looking at something in the Klipsch, B&W, Paradigm,Nht ect. class. Speakers are the most important part of your system - its the only part you listen to.

You guys forgot to tell the him #1 rule in the home theater codebook when shopping for speakers.......make sure YOU LISTEN to the different type of speakers before buying. nothing is worse than buying a random speaker setup only to take it home and have it sound like sh@#t.

You are correct sir, I thank you for mentioning that (I usually don't forget to tell people to audition their speaker choices first - but audioadvisor does have a 30 day return it for whatever clause - so you can audition them). Good catch!

Yea i get it. But i dont have an audio store anywhere near me closest is 1hr at least away. Klipsch seems good for me. As i like a powerful sound and bass. What other left and rights would you suggest? You can see i dont have that much room and they would have to stand sideways or w/e

well from the look of those pics it doesin't look like you have much space for floorstanders so i would go with bookshelfs.

I bought some B&W shelf speakers for 600. Their floor standers ring right at 1,000. They rock !
