Movie : 3.5 / 5

The Good

Excellent detailing and Value Sharpness
Gorgeous eye candy colors
No hints of EE, dirt and print damage / Almost grain free (No noticeable DNR)

The Bad

Slightly low black levels (similar to War - Rogue Assassin)
Few soft focussed shots
Couple of CGI scenes looked fake

The Ugly

Jaggies (

damn it) spotted in couple of scenes that lasted for few seconds.

PQ : 4 / 5
SQ : No comments
Replay Value : Yes
Recommendation : For Fans Only

I watched the HDDVD version before importing the BD version and the BD version definitely looked better

Nice to hear that and glad that I didn't buy the HD DVD version.

Maybe U-571 will be okay also then. I imported it and it should be here tomorrow. I was a little worried b/c I had never heard of EiV but it looks like they did a pretty good job with Next.

Check if U-571 is encoded at 1080p and not 1080i.
