Yamaha RX-V463 vs. Sony STRDG720 - Blu-ray Forum

Okay, with a lot of help from DutchBoy and kpkelley in another thread, I've realized that the receiver I got from Best Buy does not do HDMI audio as it advertised.

So, I'm left with returning it and upgrading and it's down to these two units:

Yamaha RX-V463 (Best Buy's recommendation) or
Sony STRDG720 (DutchBoy's recommendation - now at Best Buy as of last night!)

What are everyone's thoughts on these two receivers? I know there is some talk of Sony having poor sound... would the Yamaha be that much better? I'm not an audiophile by any stretch of the word. The Sony has 3 HDMI and the Yamaha has 2. What are the other differences?

FYI - to go with the receiver, I got a set of Yamaha speakers from Best Buy that were fairly small and cheap - like $200. I have a small living room and as I said, my ears aren't trained well.

I forgot to mention - they are both the same price at Best Buy - $299.

Anyone looking for a good entry-level receiver to play back Blu-Ray via PS3 should definitely consider either of these.
