PS Store Error

Every time I try to go into the new store I get a server error message and it boots me from the store. However, I can use the browser and play games online it is just a problem with the store. Any ideas?

isn't there supposed to be a system update today? Perhaps that is why.

no..but its the first day, im sure there are some bugs to work out yet, which would also explain how slow it is for others. let things die down a bit

yea alot of people are complaining( not you op) about the store being slow and the picture's are not showing up right. the store just came out what did you expect? give a day or 2 im sure everthing(even the 7.1 problem) will even out.

I totally understand what you are saying and if it was being slow I wouldn't be concerned...but I have yet to here anyone get a message saying error and booting people from the store

have you tried restarting the ps3?

I got an error message the first time I went to it last night although it let me continue on. I only had like one image show up. I restarted the PS3 and the next time, no error messages when launching the store but images didn't show up. Later last night, the images started showing up but usually were very slow to appear. I could just move around and read the descriptions though so I downloaded stuff without waiting for the image. I'm sure they'll work it out soon.

Yeah, I got the same message last night and this morning before I left for work. I'll just wait it out to see what happens. I was just a bit concerned when I was receiving server timeout errors I guess that would be on their end anyways. Thanks for the help.

The bugs will come out eventually. It's a really great looking interface!

maybe it's not so much a bug issue but more of a everyone in the world who owns a ps3 is using the store at the same time issue! When the hype surrounding the new store dies down and everyone has had a look around in the new store, things will start to work correctly. give it time

Point.

Sometimes I just throw the word bug around when it probably shouldn't be. I'm sure traffic does have a lot to do with it.

Yeah, I hope that improves (or is just b/c everyone is trying it out like brett_day mentioned). It looks great but the images are still taking forever to load. The thing I don't understand is that I thought the images were supposed to be cached so the next time I visit the store, they should load quickly but that's not happening for me.
