After updating to profile 2.30, I notice that when you enable subtitles on a blu-ray movie, the speed of the playback is fast. It's as if you're skipping forward just a little. It's very subtle but it's there. The motion moves faster and the speech pitch is a little higher. I made sure that I didn't pass forward at 1.5x by mistake but it still does it.
In order to return to normal you have to stop playback completely and disable subtitle. This has happened on multiple movies so far: AVP Requiem, Juno, Xmen. Most of these titles are DTS-HD MA but I doubt that's the reason. Did anybody experience this? |

Okay...I just tried it with Juno.
Sorry...it's normal for me. You are talking about either hitting the sub button on the remote or just dialing it in at the main menu right?? I don't think there is any other way to do it, but I did it and nothing happened. Sorry man. ![]() (Crap...now I'm watchin Juno AGAIN) ha ha ...I've seen it, like 27x since it was released. |

The 3 or so imports that I have watched have been fine. I usually had to disable the subtitles from the PS3 popup menu since I couldn't read the main menu. Before getting it disabled, it was fine though.
Guess I should try a US title that has subtitles though just in case being an import makes a difference. |
