Simple post really...

Warner creates Total HD

Universal finds its way into the Blu-ray market through Total HD

With all studios now available on Blu-ray the need for HD-DVD players diminishes

HD-DVD is phased out as studios begin releasing Deluxe additions on the larger Blu-ray format

Well, as BD guy I won't be too happy to pay extra for THDs... For what? TO keep soon to be dead (hopefully) format on lifesupport?

Not as unhappy as the HD-DVD diehards who will have to pay combo prices for the other side that they can't use now. At least they could use the SD version before...no more
