- 2 GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz OC'd to 1066MHz (2 DIMMs)
- 160 GB SATA Hard Drive (10K RPM)
- Dual 768MB nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX Video Cards
- Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Sound Card
- 48X CD RW/DVD Combo Drive
- 16X DVD +/- RW w/dbl layer write capability

Total is: $1,799.

no way....that should be around a G or less..

i built mine for 1k and its better than that. the only thing that needs upgrading right now is the cpu which will only be about $200 more. i say keep looking. although i do like that it still has xp on it

The video cards alone are $400 a piece so that's $800 for video cards only!
The QX6700 processor is $500.

How could this system be sold for $1,000 or less?

If you've priced it around that on tigerdirect.com as well and it's within $100, then it's a good deal.

Hard to beat the general internet direct prices.

How come you need two video cards?
How come you went Extreme vs. Quad? WOuldn't that save a heap of cash?
