Default Sales because of stimulus checks?

I'm probably posting in the wrong part of the forum so if it gets moved than sorry mods!

Does anyone know if stores will be having big sales becuase of the stimulus checks? I'm about to get a TV and don't know if i should wait a couple more weeks just in case stores start having big sales to draw in those people who got money for the stimulus act.

Anyone know anything??? A heads up would be great

It would make sense for Blu-ray CE manufacturers to do some promotions around those dates. However, nothing has been posted (blu-ray insiders) about a possible marketing promotion.

It wouldn't hurt to wait a few weeks and see what happens.

It would make sense, but I don't know.

Anybody ever watch that episode of Futurama, 300 Big Ones. That's a classic episode, a tax rebate of $300 to every citizen. All of the crew's choices on how to spend it tie in together nicely. Perhaps I will buy 200 cups of coffee with my stimulus check.

I'm not buying anything with the check. I'm putting it on the last of my small bills. I have decided to not play their game. They want everyone to run out and spend their checks so they can say, "look how good the economy is doing". My check is going to help me and the wife.
I say use your stimulus check and pay down some of your debt.

Using some on vacation, the other 1300 or so on paying off bills. And we have a lot of them.

Oh, the stupidity of youth...

One of the dodge dealerships here in vegas is having a sale. You can use the coming $600 as your down payment lol. Thats right, use your money before you actually get it.

And you don't want the economy to do good? Why?
Dealerships do that, a LOT. The whole use your refund before you get it thing is a time-honored tradition!

As to the other, and I would imagine they're the same, I already used money to stimulate the economy, albeit in the form of credit cards. Now it's simply time to pay that back. It's the same thing.

One way or the other, the economy got my money.

My check's going to pay off what I still owe Sony on my HDTV (I was able to pay cash for the Sony Blu-ray player)!

Never thought I'd be able to pay it off this quickly, in this economy.
