Default More Onkyo Questions!

Alright, I have an Onkyo HT-SR800 and of course it came with a sub. Do you think Onkyo would sell me another one. I want a 7.2 setup and want to upgrade to an Onkyo TX-SR805. I really want to get the reciever from Ecost because it's the best price and they say it has Onkyo's one-year warantee, plus their's. If Onkyo wouldn't sell me the matching sub, where else could I find one?

Any suggestions? I really want that extra sub. I really don't know where I should get it. I'm really right now because Twister is coming on Blu really soon (preordered) plus GTA IV is coming out in <2 days!

Is the 805 really worth $100 more than the 705?

This is probably going to sound dumb, especially since I have the 805, but can the 805 even support 2 subs?

you have to use a "y" connector to split the signal to use more than 1 sub-woofer

I would reccoment the Yamaha V663. Its 7.2 with DTS HD MA and TrueHD.

You have a 605 right now right?

higher up you go on the onkyo tx series...the more watts per channel, more hdmi inputs ( from 605 to 705/805) 705/805 are more similar then the 605... ( 805 is huge, need big space for it to avoid overheating) 605 doesnt matrix 5.1 to 7.1 but the 705/805 does... 605 has 2 hdmi in/1 out... 705/805 has 3 hdmi in/1 out.....just depends on what you have in your current system and how many watts per channel you need....you can hook 2 subs up by using a Y..but there is only 1 line in for subs on the receiver

Yeah, I know you'd have to have a splitter. How much is that Yamaha?
