How is it that i can get the beta of this game? Preorder MSG4 and you get a DVD that allows you to get the beta? is this correct and is it still availible?

In North America, that's how it works, yes.

And no, the DVD with beta codes are no doubt long since distributed, unless you somehow luck out and find a retailer who somehow hasn't managed to give away all their copies.

Alot of Gamestops codes were bogus anyways. But Ell if do happen to get one and it has a 9 digit code just e-mail konami. Include name, e-mail, and 9 digit code. Can't remember the exact address

Have you done the requisite Konami ID login, and downloaded the ginormous 700MB update? If so, then you're good to go.

Truth be told though, the MGO Beta doesn't really set my world on fire. It feels like a third person Call of Duty 4 with half of the foot speed, a mild cover system, and less accurate weaponry.

The only thing that I am not happy with is the lack of "cover ability." Perhaps I am missing something, but I can't seem to find a way to lean my back against the wall for easy "around the corner" shooting/attacking.

Otherwise, the game is pretty fun. A lot of different techniques behind tactical assault.

When I was at Best Buy the other day they still had a ton of the preorder DVD's. You should still be able to find one.

press triangle while up against a wall

Yay you should see a icon of a character behind a wall this is a notice that, a specific context action can occur, and as said above hit triangle and wala you are behind the wall and you peak around the corner...

Not good if your being bum rushed you can shoot but your still exposed you cant blind fire from cover so you peak out a little and as we all know, show some skin and your dead pretty quick..

The only thing I really do not like about the cover system is being shot from my right side... always the enemy only comes at me from the direction im not looking.. lol.. press triangle again to disengage from the wall.
