Sony Offers Different 'Vantage Point' on Blu-ray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will offer up a different Vantage Point for those who buy the film on Blu-ray Disc July 1 (prebook May 29).

Among the Blu-ray exclusive special features is a “Vantage View: GPS Tracker” option, which lets viewers track the on-screen movements of every character throughout the movie’s overlapping timeline.

Both the Blu-ray and the two-disc special edition DVD offering will include interviews with the cast and crew, a deleted scene, and a commentary. The two-disc DVD set includes both the full screen and widescreen versions of the film, as well as a digital copy of the film. Sony will also street day-and-date a bare-bones single DVD version and a UMD version for the PlayStation Portable.

Vantage Point brought in more than $75 million at the box office with its puzzle-like tale of eight different witness accounts of the President’s supposed assassination.

Cant' wait for it, i heard lots about it. In my country we dont have movie theaters so blu-ray is my best way for theater experiance.

I'll be picking this one up. I saw it in theatres and liked it enough. The car chase scene alone is worth the purchase IMO.

Anyone else have problems with their copy? About half way through the movie there is a spot where it does this freeze/skip thing. It only last for about 2 seconds but it annoys me.
I played the same spot a few times over and it does it every time.

So many Blu-rays get re-packaged / re-released with updated packaging. Even if the overall design stays somewhat the same, usually the packaging copyright date on the back changes.

Well, I decided to add this one to my collection, and it seems that Amazon sent me an original copy from 2008!

I do have a concern though, can someone get the marketing guys in here for me? I need to have a talk with them, I'm pretty sure this sticker is NOT large enough...

Finally got this. I loved the movie when it came out. The picture quality is incredible, especially for a blu from over 10 years ago! Unfortunately I was not as lucky with Amazon, I got a shrink wrapped return with marks on the underside of the disk. No issues playing it though. I highly recommend getting this release if you don't already have it. The movie is really cool!
