Default Hmm. Weird delay.

I noticed I'm getting a delay between the actors' mouths and the actual sound, making it look like watching a foreign movie. My gear list is below and I haven't noticed it too much but on some movies it's pretty bad.

Can this have something to do with having HDMI for video but optical for audio? Keep in mind my AVR has no HDMI hookups and I am in the market to upgrade it.

Thanks in advance!

It happens with a few different movies but it was prominent on Juno and ID4. I'm not sure how to adjust the delay of it but I'll look into it today. Sometimes it synchs up better if I pause or rewind a second then let it play again.

I had a similar problem with my Panasonic upsampling DVD player and Pioneer receiver. I'm running HDMI to the TV for video, and optical to the receiver for audio. I fixed it by adjusting the delay on the Panasonic player since that receiver (Pioneer 815) didn't have the option.

Sync issue.... you need to adjust the delay on the receiver.

I noticed you have a Sammy 1200 BD player. It is a known issue that there is a lip sync issue with the 24p mode turned on. Try turning it back to 60p mode.

I turned the 24p off so I assume the default is 60p. I'll give this a run as well. I did recalibrate the delay and it seemed to help, at least with Live Free or Die Hard. Wish I hadn't thrown ID4 in the mail as that was the worst culprit so far.
