most of those movies are from studios that used to be hd-dvd exclusive and have barely even went to blu-ray so it will be awhile and i think x-men might come out just before the new one does

With an attitude like that you may not be around long enough to see TF released. Those movies arent CRAP!! You just dont like them, thats fine. Things dont happen overnight as you think they should.

I just read this thread , here you are complaining about the lack of special features on blu-rays . If I thought you were sincere I would offer a better response but I think you arent here for that so I am gonna move on.

jw, i don't expect anything overnight, but i do expect the studios to consider all tastes and preferences when announcing their list of releases. In addition, I'm entitled to like or dislike any title i wish, and also reserve the right to complain if the studios don't comply to all fans wishes.

good riddance-i want only intelligent responses here anyway-i am serious. I'm serious about the lack of special features on blu ray discs that have more than enough room for them. I'm also disturbed about the lack of exciting titles that are to be released in the next couple of months. If you don't see the value in this discussion, then by all means, move on.....

no-----nice try though JW-i'm new to Blu Ray and to this forum-I'm simply seeking knowledge on the topic. I want to know what i'm buying and why-I'm not here to discourage anyone from purchasing Blu-heck i've got nearly 20 titles already-

i'm trying to save money on double dips and help others save money-if you can appreciate that-cool! if not, I pity you and your lack of vision

thx Blu-many don't agree with me b/c they're being herded like cattle and are part of the generic mass that is willing to settle for less than what they truly want. That is in part to the media telling them what they want instead of making up their own mind. I'm excited about the Blu Ray format and can't wait to see its full potential. However, I'm not willing to allow my emotions for a new technology blind me to the fact that I'm being taken advantage of.....I just joined this forum to get some affirmation on my beliefs.....You and Moonphase have done this for me and I'm grateful.

Hehe, I think I'm detecting the faint odor of fish in both of these threads. Is that you Lee?

Oh well, back to my inferior collection with the rest of the herd.

lol, funny people start these same threads over and over and over! They are only doing it get a "rise" from the community. Pointless at least. There are rant threads for such, instead the OP starts 2 threads insulting everyone who provides an answer he doesnt like. It is what it is, If he/she doesnt like it, dont buy! Bottom Line!!!

Don and JW....

i suppose it is pointless to point out things that concern us in the DVD community. I suppose it is pointless to offer an opinion on various subjects. And yes, as a consumer who has spent a great deal of time and money building his collection, I feel I have a right to share that opinion and am open to the input of others. If there's a problem with that, then i guess this entire function on this website is rendered POINTLESS!

I've read your responses on more than one thread here, and the two of you have rarely offered any valuable input to the subjects being addressed. Rather, you seem more concerned with calling out the one posting the threads rather than adding any tangible input at all. So, basically, other than complaining, you two are bringing little to the table.

Not to step on anybody's toes, but I actually liked 2 of those movies you dislike.

The Water Horse
The Golden Compass

Personally, I happen to think Swordfish is better than King Kong. There have been many films I' don't care for being released on Blu, but I'm a patient man. I simply buy the ones I like, and with the rest of the money, I buy something else or save it. No lost sleep for me.

You are more than welcome to share your opinions, as are we all. However, calling a film "CRAP" on a public forum is likely to have people come out against you. I liked "swordfish" a lot... my wife like "27 Dresses" quite a bit. Saying something to the effect of "Personally, I don't like any of these films..." is probably going to result in fewer flames from those of opposing opinion. Just my $.02.

Transformers, IMHO, was not nearly as entertaining as I was led to believe by the media. I found Swordfish to be better than most of the media believe. This is a supply & demand society, not a bait & switch. If you don't like the movie, don't buy it. But to say the only reason people are buying the films released because they're somehow being led to by the media is just preposterous. Everyone has their opinions. There is a market for every taste. Personally, I can't stand Anime & Manga, but apparently a lot of other people like it....

No, it's not pointless to point out and comment on things. It's encouraged... but when you comment on the tastes of others by blanketly calling films "crap" you're bound to get "crapped on" right back.

Now, I'm sure you're going to flame me for all I've said here, so I'll expect it. However, I'm only commenting on these things because you seem to want to contribute and discuss films, and the Blu-ray technology. I think the more people we have discussing it, the better.
