Hi new member here
I just bought a Panasonic BD-30 (UK) and am having problems playing back a film authored on a BD-RE disc. The disc (Verbatim v2.1) spins up and is identified as"BD" (which is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE in the manual!!). Then when I press PLAY, the display says "Play" then "0:00:00" and finally STOP. Nothing plays from the disc. What is wrong? The disc was authored with Nero v8 and it plays back just fine on the PC using Nero Showtime and also Cyberlink PDVD. I read that the BD-30 supposedly plays BD-RE (version 3.0) but surely it is backwardly compatible with BD-RE (version 2.1)?? The disc was written at x2 with BD Defect management switched off - is this the problem? Nero will only write at x1 with defect management on. Any ideas? Thanks NigelS |
