Default Lord of the Rings - Which movie is the best?

The Fellowship of the Ring, for me. Easily. It's the most flawless. The action and special effects are fantastic, incredible acting and casting, and is fun, sad, and scary, sometimes at the same time. So faithful to the book as well and has the most beautiful scenery of them all. A++

The Two Towers is still great and I love it, but despite having seen it 14 times at the cinemas, and about 8 or 9 times on DVD rental, it's my least favourite of the three. I doubt it has anything to do with the actual movie, probably just a preferences thing; but this movie is too battle-orientated, and the way it focused on the war for about half and hour, then onto Merry, Pippin and the trees for another half an hour (and again, and again) just didn't work for me. A

Return of the King is great, even added some humour in there (not that there wasn't some already), and got very sad at the end. I haven't seen it as much times as I would've liked to (only once at the cinemas, and once on DVD). A+
