Default question about Klipsch back speakers

I know the main difference between 5.1 sound and 7.1 sound is the number of speakers, but it looks like from the picture on the Klipsch website they only have the five speakers and the subwoofer.

I already have the RF-52s and RC-52, so would most people recommend getting only two RS-42 Surrounds or is it possible to get four with an Onkyo 605 receiver?

I've thought about this some myself. I'm by no means an expert, but it makes sense to me to have the RS speakers as your surrounds in a 5.1 system. In a 7.1, I think bookshelf speakers should be the surrounds (next to you) and the RS line or bookshelves can be your rear surrounds (behind you).

7.1 is pretty new to home theater so don't worry about the Klipsch recommended systems only have 5.1. That will change in time.

If I were to purchase four back speakers I'm assuming it should work fine since the Onkyo 605 is 7.1, correct?

7.1 has been around for quite sometime, but i assume the reason why they kept it at 5.1 is simplicity i guess.

to add 2 extra surrounds, you just have to get two more of the surrounds to add up to the system.
