I recently purchased a PS3 mainly for the Blu-ray capabilites but when I popped in x-Men 3 the results were no where near what I expected. Mainly becasue my HD Cable Picture is much better than the Blu-ray picture. I have to believe I am doing somethin wrong. I have a 61" Samsung DLP TV with a maximum resolution of 1080i. The PS3 is hooked up to the TV via HDMI and to a surround sound system via a fiber-optic cable (no HDMI port on the receiver). I think I have the settings right (the PS3 is set to 1080i output) as the games look great but the Blu-ray is very disapponting. Do I have to have a 1080p TV to get a good picture? Help!
