Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced the 2005 horror flick The Exorcism of Emily Rose is scheduled for a Blu-ray Disc release on July 22. It will join the first two I Know What You Did Last Summer films and Urban Legend in making their Blu-ray debut that day.

Sony will present The Exorcism of Emily Rose on Blu-ray in widescreen 2.4:1 1080p video and 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio.

Supplemental features have been plucked off the DVD version and include Genesis of the Story: cast and crew talk about how they first heard of the story, and discuss the writing of the script; Casting the Film: director and Cast talk about the casting process; and Visual Design: the crew talks about the production design and special effects.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose on Blu-ray will carry an SRP of $28.96. Keep checking back for the addition of high resolution cover art and a pre-order link.

ill pick this up used or at a pawn shop, not too excited about this release. Now if The Exorcist comes out im all over that!

iv'e got it on blu ray was'nt a huge fan not that it was bad movie just not really my cup of tea.

Why does everyone think that importing the UK version of this movie is so expensive? You can get it from several Ebay.co.uk sellers for about $20-22 shipped brand new.

I got it along time ago from michael_myers78 for only $22. Thats when he was easier to get ahold of.

I really enjoyed this movie. Like a courtroom drama mixed with a horror movie.

Yes, I think the blu transfer is quite good, yes it's on the soft side, but that's the way the film was shot. It's much better than the DVD.

The movie is already plenty creepy but it actually starts to become a little tragic once you read the story it’s based on. Anneliese Michel suffered endlessly.
