PS3 / Printer Question - Blu-ray Forum

I recently got free Office Jet G85 with scanner.
Question is.. Will the free printer work with PS3? it does have usb. But, I will need to buy flat head usb to connect printer to ps3.

Anyone can confirm if this printer will work with ps3? I know windows will reconize the printer setting and set it up itself. Will ps3 do the same? Also, will ps3 able to obtain pictures off scanner and put it in picture gallery ?

I would not ask if i did not get free printer and i thought id use it for ps3.

i believe there is a compatability list somewhere on the playstation site.
they finally added my epson printer to the list some time ago but i could never get it to work.

I think you need a certain brand of printer for the PS3 (I can't remember which one though).

I would love to see network printing support in a future firmware update. It's not very pretty for me to have a printer plugged in to my PS3 and sitting on my living room floor.

I know cannons work with the PS3... if anyone wants one i have a brand new pixma :-p

I have installed USB cable, Ethernet cord,and other stuff behind walls from living room to my bedroom upstairs where my office/desk is gonna be. I think there may be a comptability list on the "Online Instruction Manual", under Settings>Printer Settings on the XMB.
