Default Just recently got setup to watch Blu-ray

Hey all, Im Allan (and I got a spending problem!? ).
(Hope this is the right place to post this) Anyway, I recently got set up for some HD, this included a HD tv (got an entry level LG 47" LCD, full 1080P) and had a PS3 already. While at best buy one day, I decided to go ahead and pick up my first BD (did not have an HDTV at this time). It was Imax: Blue Planet on sale for like 15 bucks, figured I could grab it and play it on the PS3 with my regular TV. Right off the bat I could tell a difference, the saturation on the TV was maxed out, the video was clean, clear and looked good, but obviously the full effect of the BD was stunted by the TV. Well, I liked what I did see but I had no idea...

A couple weeks ago I picked up the HDTV and decided to give it a try, so I wired up the PS3 to the LCD with HDMI cable, fussed with the settings in the PS3 and realized I selected the wrong HDMI port. I got things fixed and got a signal so I loaded the disc up and waited. The first few moments of the BD is archive footage, but the real treat followed shortly after.

Since the TV was new (to me, it was an open box item) it was set up kind of bad, so with a few adjustments, I got things to where I liked them.

What I saw was just stunning: I started kicking my self because my parents got my Blue planet on BD and I had them take it back because they bought the set on regular DVD and I decided since at the time I could not display the BD to the full tilt, I would just get something else. Dang. Oh well

I am already planning my next BD purchase. BTW, I have not seen Spiderman 3 yet, it came with the PS3
