Default A sad story...

I shall start my story awhile back, a long long time ago, when comcast was our cable company, all was good, fast foward a few many many years...

Comcast switches hands with time warner... and through a strange set of events gets everything going.. all is still good.

Many weeks and perhaps months we had noticed oddities in our cable and when attempting to access on demand we noticed a error messege of meta-6.

We later learned that means low frequency...

One day we lost all on demand features.. odded by this we decided to call the cable company, they said on xyz day they will send someone to fix it... xyz day passes and we get a call from the time warner fix guy, he spoke in a low mumble that required many passes and ears to the answer machine to determine what he said..

In summary he had reported our problem fixed, we looked at on demand same error meta-6...

Hmm so we called time warner and inform them that it was not fixed, and also reported that he never came to see us directly... There were odded out asking if we were sure... they said in the next hour or so a manager will call you.

Days pass... and nothing.

We call again, and they said it says everything is fixed...

No.. the manager never called...

I took a day off from work to be there personally for the next appointment...
he looks at the error messege says its outside probelm... he comes back shortly with a set of equipment.

He said someone has spliced into your cable one of your neighboors, (we have digital cable btw) he said he would call dispatch and have them reset the box.

He later discovered that the amplifier in the back was also damaged, he said they would send someone to fix it.

Days pass with no picture at all.. odded by this we call again, and time warner responded its fixed.. we go no its not... well we need to reset it and wait a few minutes...

Next day we call again they said again its fixed... no.. well we need to reset it.. no you don't you already did that.. okay they said so they scheduled us for another appointment.

No one shows up or calls... we call them again and they inform us that it again is fixed.. no it isn't... and they never showed up...

So yet another appointment is set for today. I believe my parents may just be fed up enough to call it quits with time warners service, and seek new cable provider...

My mom said if today it is not fixed that is it, she will call and cancel and seek ATT's offer. We coaked my father into that as well..

We have gone over a week now unable to watch digital cable.. I noticed it had a sharp effect on my parents.. my mother is depressed and goes to sleep earlier, my father seems more tired as well and simply watches the void more instead of watching the history channel.

It has not actually held any effect on me, since I usually do not get a chance to watch tv very often and prefer the luxury of watching blu-rays or playing video games, since our only hd tv is actually in my room hehehe...

And that my friends is my sad story...

lol your terrible , We all have library cards, gym membership no.. but I would not recommend that to my father theres not much left in him I think..

My father works 6pm to 6am and my mom works 7am to 3pm they do not really like each other so they would actually prefer to avoid each other. I guess you can say its tolerance at most.

I actually do much reading, my favorite author L.E. Modesitt, Jr my favorite book series is the saga of recluse, and I have more books of recluse then I do blu-ray's and that also keeps much of my time, I did not see a reason to go into my personal hobbies. Its just weird seeing how attached they were of the tele, I had no attachment to it and the only anger I hold is the poor customer service they showed my family and there disrespect.

I took the day off of work at the request of my mom, I was also moderately sick and the spent the day playing orange box and finishing up for the 2nd time Order Master, and restarted Scion of Cyador. I realized the books held more meaning to for the second time, my view of the world had changed that I understood them much better.

I plan on getting some of my other older books from my friend, he has lost electricity and found himself without much money I lent him the books to give him something to do.

sounds like you want to hear about the events that lead to me living in texas.

A little more retrospect both my parents served in the military, my mom was army my father was airforce. After his tour was up he returned to find that the persons he trusted to run his security guard company had run it into bankruptch sold the company and ran... they did not make attempts to pay any part they owned my father.

My father travels to Texas to sign the paperwork a little saddened that he had been back stabbed, the person who had purchased the place heard my fathers story and offered him a job working for that security guard company.

My father accepted and informed us that the short trip had become a longer then initially planned, we slowly made arrangements to move from Washington state to Texas. I was only 1 when that all happened so long ago.. that was 23 years ago.

So from my father owning a company to now working for it he did, kinda depressing I know...

And that is the end of episode 1...

True but some people are offended by typos so its best to apologize then leave any upset and to place warmth and honor to those who may worry.

Beware the words ensure and insure for they hold different meanings I had to go through a operation manual and change them, for a government agency took offense to the difference only for there own senior members to make a similar mistake perhaps it will be a silent joke...

Do you have any cable booster/amplifier hooked in before the connection to the box at all?

I know i had the same meta-6 error message and comcast could not figure it out, by chance i said screw it and unhooked the line going into the booster and hooked it directly into the box and poof all on demand is availble and worked instantly after disconnecting the booster/amplifier.

Its exactly 3:33pm central time as I first start this post,
of course to ensure was must set a control to prevent it
from not happening.

of course you will also need process measurements to verify over
time that its not happening, oh and some interfaces between
the events and Federal Air Regulations and you need to fill
out SAI 1.1.1AW, *Safety Attribute Inspection*

Well it was the outside box for all the apartments, not something I would want to mess with, another thing is time warner removed the splicer that a neighbor had installed on the box.. They were leaching cable off of us, by connecting it over to them, which was the creation of meta-6, by removing it they did something and no one in our entire building has access to any cable tv or anything.

specially the neighbor who installed the spilcer who was very upset that he lost cable.

Also I live in apartment complex on the bottom floor of a three story building there is a large brick wall with a wood fence above it, and on the brick wall are power lines, there is no view of much useful sky, and I would probably figure it would not be for the best.
