How many think you'll keep making threads and posts about this a year from now?

Buddy. The recent offerings from Disney were advertised to have 24-bit audio but most of them had only 16-bit audio. Conducting a poll will let us know what the audience expect in reality.

The threads that I mostly create are titled "Reviews and Reactions Thread".

Truthfully, I dont give a shit. How can you complain when Disney has come out with the best BDs thus far?

I am not complaining but worried that Disney is shifting to 16-bit from 24-bit.
Let's not forget the infamous 1080i misprint on POTC-3 threads.

Another one of Igans' spec-***** threads, WHOOPA-DEE-DOO!!
Shouldn't you be e-mailing Warner about their bit-rates or something?

Can you even hear a difference between the 2? As for the audio on these discs, how do you know they're not originally 16-Bit tracks anyway? I also think it's possible that Gangs of New York will have a Dolby TrueHD track.

I voted "I don't care" since I don't pay any attention to that unless someone is asking questions about it or whatever.

I do care in the sense that I think they need to match the spec listed on the cover though.

Where are you seeing these ads claiming 24 bit audio?

All the titles will almost certainly be 16 bit

What's your problem ? If you don't want to post please move on. Challenge the post not the poster.

The back covers, BVHE website and the website reviews states 24-bit. The reviewers however correct the info once they come to know that audio is encoded at 16-bit depth. This trend has been continuing for quite a long time. I see this as a huge and overlooked QC issue.

Stop hiding behind that. You continually throw these crazy threads out on the table for a reaction, then when you get one, you pull the "challenge the post not the poster" crap. Grow a pair or quit posting this bull.

They're all from 2002 and onwards and all did $100+ million worldwide, so they may very well have 24-bit masters.
