Default Cyberlink's new build has a virus?

Has anyone tried the new cyberstink update? build 410 something?
was released early this month...

I tried to install it, but my virus scan went nuts on it, didn't like it at all, and then pdvd bombed out... now I can't even install the 3730d patch, not that I really care, its just the point... why the hell would cyberstink have a worm virus in their newest build?

I'd be more suspect of a bad virus signature file (or a mis-recognition by a signature file...making it a "bad" signature file) - might try rolling it back one or updating it. - but not unheard of for some covert code to get slipped in.

I first read your post as "Cyberlink's new build IS a virus". Maybe that's more accurate. LOL.

haha yeah
well it jacked up my install, so I guess i will finally go through the fresh vista install, I've been wanting to do it for a while, i guess this is sort of a reason to bite the bullet and go for it...
always a nervous thing, even though I have everything saved, backed up and safe from harm... just nervous until its all back to normal

i am actually installing clean vista and XP. so, have you managed to solve the problem?
I don't want the same thing to happen to my new installation. I've been reinstalling clean vista and xp 10 times in a week, because vista is very unstable. I got trouble after installing the language packs. horrid. I plan to install it with only french language pack now.

well i can install up to build 3730a
which doesn't include bd-live
this is without reformatting
I plan to reformat and just install up to build 3730d which is bd-live
the newest build, Im going to ignore...
I have the files for each build saved on my external
not sure if they are available online anymore...
they are around 100 megs, I can try to find an upload site to temp store them if you need them

nope. I installed the update to both powerdvd 7 and 8 and everything is fine.
Only one annoying things: when I installed powerdvd 8, all the items in start menu in form of file is deleted. files inside folder is fine.

well reformatted last night, and was able to install up to 3730d
I'm going to hold off there for a while, I figure, Im not going to fix what isn't broke just yet...
when i encounter a problem that needs fixing, I'll update then.
