Default question bout these tvs (shopping for first plasma)

first question probably posted many times. I play my ps3 alot on my ps3 (currently have an lcd tv) and am worried about burn in on a plasma from the HUD of a game. Secound these are the two tvs I am looking at and wanted to know if these tvs are 1080p navtive.

well based off the stats listed....

Resolution
pioneer-1365 x 768
panny-1920 x 1080

Supported DTV Resolutions
pioneer-1080p , 480p , 480i , 1080i , 720p
panny- 1080p , 480p , 1080i , 720p

the elite is a great tv but only 720p...it will allow a 1080p signal in..but kick it out 720p....cnet will tell you tho that if your sitting far away...1080p on a 50'' is pointless..but im not a fan of that logic

Go with the Panasonic. It has 1080p like so7o said, but more than that is the THX mode. According to the AVS Forums, the color reproduction of the 800u series in THX mode is better than any of the non-Elite Pioneers. If you can swing it, sometimes you can find the Pioneer 5010 for a really great price, especially since they're on clearance now to make way for the new generation panels.

Go with the FULL HD set panny-1920 x 1080. Don't bother with scaled down sets for the money your going to lay out.

the new panny 1080p pz800's are off the chain! They're the editor's choice at CNET.com...
