Default The Christmas Titles We'll Probably See

Well im 90% sure Nightmare Before Christmas will come out August 19th and 100% sure that it will be out this fall. I dont know if it falls under Christmas or Halloween. Fred Clause isnt announced yet, but will be released in November. I believe Christmas Story is having a re release this winter as well.. Those are the ones that are as close as it comes to definate.

I heard National Lampoons isnt very good either? Maybe a re release for that too ?

I can see Grinch coming out as a sorry from Universal. Not only that, but they did say 50 releases, and summer blockbusters plus Doomsday and the 3 Mummies, its still only about 10 movies. So 40 movies in 5 months, I believe that one is going to be released especially since its was already made on HD DVD. I would like to see it doubled up with the cartoon version but I doubt it.

Another one, well its only a short thing is Shrek the Halls. I can see this being released with Shrek the third or with the 3 pack, which im hoping for. Shrek 1 and 2 are probably 2 of my most wanteds, but I digress.

Santa Clause 3 came out last year, so I wouldnt doubt 1 and 2 coming out this year. I cant see what they would wait for since thats the last one.

I doubt any of the Cartoon Episodes we all know and love like Frosty and Rudolph will come out anytime soon. But its possible.

Home Alone 1 and 2 are my most anticipated Christmas movies. I watched HA 2 today on Starz and I forgot how great the movie was. HA 1 was even better.

Elf is another must have. I dont really like Will Ferrells work lately, and this was probably his last good movie.

Miracle on 34th street (the good one from back in the day) and Its a Wonderful life which are probably the most recognizable christmas movies ever made, but these will probably never be put on blu because I think they may be too old to make into High Def. But I dont know. But I def dont see them coming out anytime soon

Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie but however it always has to do something with Fall because of the fact that it starts in Halloween and also because its supposed to be a little scary for the little tiny kids. We might (no gurantee) will get Jingle All the Way either by Christmas or sometime near Chrtistmas but i cant say if it will be this year or not

JATW?--Fox: If ANYONE's going to jump on the Blu Christmas family-movie bandwagon (like they did every year at the theaters) to get symbolic back-catalogs going, it's the Home Alone studio.
Which brings up another likely set of possibilities...

Do you think we will see It's A Wonderful Life this year? That is one of my favorite movies and I can watch that countless times.

Another movie I would like to see is Richard Donner's Scrooged. That movie cracks me up everytime I watch it! They play it on HDNET so i'm thinking it could be possible.

I know this movie isn't a Christmas movie but I would also lvoe to see Planes, Trains, And Automobiles. It just reminds me of the holidays. Imagine hearing Steve Martin repeating the F-word in lossless audio (18 times in 60 seconds)! Just awesome !

Paramount. But plausible enough to be possible--That one's always first out of the gate for them, wherever there's a Christmas promotion.

No need to get people excited over a guess. If you have proof then fine, but dont say your sure of it if its a guess

Yeah, but saying New Line will "probably" release Elf some time within their first year's package of back-catalog releases, and at the appropriate sales time, is like saying the sun will probably rise tomorrow, and the air will probably contain some percentage of oxygen:
We're not expecting LOTR first out of the gate, but we've learned to recognize a few patterns by now. We can grant ourselves a few sucker bets.

The only Christmas movie I MUST HAVE is Elf. Anything else would just be gravy.
