password in the PS3

Gee i've had my PS3 for quite some time and I never worried about the 4 digits password which one can have on the PS3, until today that is !

Long story short, I need to enable the password but I don't know how.
I went to the settings part of the PS3 menu and down to "Security Settings" then to "Change Password". I assumed one could create a password there but nope, it asks for current password before you can make a change, so where do I create it, anyone knows ?

Try 0000 or 1234. I'm not positive though...
