Default The difference

I purchased a HDTV when I bought my PS3, and SONY HDMI.

I've only bought one Blu Ray, 300. I have have 5 that I got from a promotion that was going on when I purchased my PS3.

I go to MovieStop and look around quite often. I always tend to buy regular DVDs. A lot of what I'm looking for isnt on Blu Ray.

My question is, is Standard DVDs going to be obsolete in the near future?
I don't want to be wasting my money on regular DVDs if they will be pointless to own in a few years.

Welcome to the BLU world BLU boy. It's going to take few years for BLU to catch up SD DVD. I hope that in the next 5-8 years Blu-ray takes on the prime spot as being the de-facto cum premier Home AV format.

Maybe not obselete, but choose what you buy carefully. It looks & sounds better in HD and you will want the Blu when it comes out. I stopped buying DVDs once I got a Blu-Ray player, mainly because when I watch them I know they could be better on Blu...
