Default Blu-Ray Exclusive Feature?

To my knowledge, the D-Box feature can only be found on Blu-Ray disc as Fox is including it on some of their releases, including this one...

(sorry about my the slight glare from the cover scan...it's still sealed in the package)

While I personally don't care one way or the other about this feature, I'm glad it's at least available on Blu-Ray.

I saw that on 'Courage Under Fire' too as well. What exactly is it?

From the D-Box website...

Using the D-BOX™ IMS award-winning technology, you are moved in perfect synchronization with the on-screen action and sound. We take great pride and care to program D-BOX™ MOTION CODE™ for each movie and television series up to 175 hours of programming), so that each moment of your experience is intensified and every dramatic nuance is enhanced. You share the same motional forces as the actors themselves. The excitement is elevated because you're involved from start to finish.
I guess the closest comparison I could probably make is the Dual Shock controller. It just adds another level of "realism" to the experience. Although that is probably debatable. I'm not sure that I would like this feature. However, I haven't personally tried it, so it wouldn't really be fair for me to knock it without having experienced it first-hand. In theory, it sounds like it could be pretty cool for action movies. For example, in "Courage Under Fire" you would literally feel like you're in the helicopter making an emergency landing!

Blu-Ray should trump HD-DVD and have the first porn with D-Box!

Interesting... do you have to buy a special equipment for it or can you just use a regular home theatre sound system? (5.1, 6.1 w/subwoofer?)

Their site says you can use a standard PC through a USB connection or a D-Box Controller.

I tried it at CES, but I am not sure I would like it in a movie. In a game it would be cool. But I am not sure I would like to sit for 2 hours and be jostled about in my seat. It started feeling uncomfortable after a few minutes. By 60 minutes I think it would get aggravating. But that is just me.
