Eidos Games today released a financial release in which they gave fans of the Tomb Raider, Hitman, Championship Manager and Just Cause games the good news that these four games will have a sequel on two next generation consoles. The two consoles in question are, of course, the PS3 and Xbox 360.

“Our future next generation console titles include new versions of Tomb Raider, Hitman and Championship Manager plus new IPs including Kane & Lynch and Crossfire.”
“In the light of the launch of the Sony PlayStation 3 in North America in November 2006 and its planned European launch in Spring 2007 we are assessing the timing of when to launch these titles on the appropriate next generation platforms.”
As well as this, Eidos also stated in the release that “We now expect Just Cause to sell over one million units in the current financial year. The sequel to Just Cause is in development.” Unfortunately, no information about any of these games such as an approximate time for their release, if these games would only be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3, or about whether or not any of the games would have any online features was given.
Even though no release date for these games was mentioned, it’s fair to assume that these games will be released on the PS3 at or not long after the time of the European launch of Sony’s next-gen console. For this reason, sales of the games would most likely be higher since there is a strong fan base of games like Tomb Raider and Hitman in Europe.
Awesome news. I was hoping that the 360 wasnt going to be the only next gen system with the TR games. I mean seriously..they started on the ps...
