Default Is Bluray.com run/sponsored by Amazon?

i know that amazon is the go-to place to find a great deal on bd's. i've spent hundreds of dollars there fattening up my bd collection.

having said that, this site seems like a satellite site for all of amazon's bd sales. for instance, if you click on a movie review, you'll see amazon's price.

what's the deal? is this site sponsored by amazon?

Amazon has an affiliate program where any site can get a cut of sales that it refers to Amazon.

Good to know. I guess when I purchase movies, I'll stop at this site first and link up to Amazon that way instead of just going to Amazon.

Wicky,

Does that work for other item on Amazon too? For instance, they have a Photoshop CS3 book I want. If I link to Amazon from here by clicking a BD, does this site get credit for the book as well?

Hey guys!

The site is not run- or sponsored by Amazon, we just happen to use Amazon.com for a number of reasons. When searching for BD movies on our site and reading the reviews, the next logical step is "how/where do I buy this title?". Since Amazon.com almost always have the cheapest prices and have a reliable service, we feel secure about "recommending" them to our visitors.

We have lately started to review import titles and in those cases when the titles aren't available on Amazon.com, we are using YesAsia.com instead, so people who are interested in buying import titles know at least one place to order the title. As we continue to review international titles and titles from smaller/more obscure studios, we will probably have to add more places to order from, but right now we plan to stick to Amazon.com for all US releases.

Our primary goal by far has been to make a good and useful site and not try to make lots of money by displaying tons of annoying advertising. That being said, we might for instance in the future add more sites to buy US releases from, so you can do price comparisons directly in our movie-listings and pick a price and/or site that you might like better. We try to add things that both we and (primarily) our visitors benefit from.

I use the Amazon links that are found here everytime I am going to buy something from Amazon. My way of giving something back.
