Default 'The Dark Knight" - runtime

According to this website for an IMAX theater in Raleigh, NC, 'The Dark Knight' clocks in at 152 minutes. I can't wait!

I was thinking of seeing this in IMAX as well, but for some reason my wife doesn't really like seeing movies in IMAX.

and wow, 152 minutes is awesome. That's one massive imax film strip though - must weigh a ton. Can they break it up into more than 2 parts?

Graduated from Carolina in '05, and now live in Winston-Salem. There is no IMAX in winston, so it's either raleigh or charlotte.

If I were to complain I'd say it's too short. Lemme guess, they were saying too long?

I read that the initial runtime was over 3 1/2 hours, and they were trying to get it around 2 1/2 hours, which they did. Still, I'd love a full director's cut.

Those are the same people that complain that Lord of the Rings were too long and would cut each movie into 90 minutes.

I dunno if its just me, but movies being 90 minutes long seem like a rip off and unsatisfying.

Batman Begins - 140 mins.

The Dark Knight - 152 mins.

The way I see it, it's like this: The longer the movie, the better it is in the end!

Why would anybody pay $10 for an 90min movie like that. I'm glad its 2 1/2 hours

well hopefully they'll bring it on to blu with seamless branching between director's cut and theatrical release... but we're gettin a little ahead of ourselves.
