Default What exactly is SMART MENU TECHNOLOGY and how do I use it?

I just picked up THE LAST WALTZ and was reading over the box and noticed the term SMART MENU TECHNOLOGY: floats on screen during playback so you never have to leave the screen

I am viewing this disc with my PS3 which has been totally updated with the latest firmware and updates. I have a SONY PS3m bluetooth enabled remote control

What exactly is SMART MENU TECHNOLOGY and how do I use it?

Thanks.

It should specify a button most likely the "popup/menu" button or one of the 4 colored buttons. This should bring up the menu.

its a feature, that move blu-rays have even if it doesn't say smart menu. It allows you to press the "pop up/menu" button to get the main navigation screen while still playing the movie (basically overlays it on the movie). Lets you move through the menus change audio/subtitles access and play special features. When playing special features, it will pause the movie and when your done watching the special feature, unpause the movie and resume playing all without having to leave the movie. Its a cool feature when you want to check something in the special features really quick when watching a movie. AVP2 was a good example of this when watching, the smart menu allowed you to quickly view the Wayland Data base for information on everything alien/predator. Quickly allowing you to get specs and details on say... the predator mask or alien egg pod.

Just push the square button during the movie, and the menu will pop-up while the movie is still playing.
