Boston Acoustics - Blu-ray Forum

I was just wondering if anyone on the forum owns any BA speakers? I have a chance to pick some up at half price, and was looking at these. I'd like some floor standing speakers, but with a two year old running around and bumping his toys into everything, I thought these would be a better option for me right now. and I think they are a tremendous value. I picked up the Boston Acoustics MCS130 system before Christmas for about 500 dollars. When paired with my PS3 and Onkyo 605 there is no better bang for the buck out there, IMHO. Great sound! You can't go wrong. I think the speakers handle music and movies very well. If you have any questions please let me know and I will do my best to answer them.

I own the VR950's , VRC center, and VRS micro's and I love boston speakers. They are awesome.

My daughter has the MCS100 and loves it. the 130 is even better. They even offer different color grill cloth covers.
BA even includes a free subwoofer cable, but the included speaker wire is 22ga junk.
The finish on all speakers is "rubberized" and relatively child-proof (my daughter has 2 year old twins!).
What is half-price in actual $?

I agree the supplied speaker wire is not up to the task. I used a better cable for my sub and the result was impressive. Cool "cabinets".

Where did you find them for $500.00? That's a great price for those speakers. I would be picking them up for just a bit less.

I purchased them from a seller on Amazon just before last Christmas. I have not seen them in such a price range since. You will love the speakers. Let me know what you think.
